Collection: Charles Bukowski Broadsides

There are over 60 known Bukowski broadsides spanning 1946 to 2017. The first was published when he was 26. The last came out more than two decades after his death.

Broadsides are literary art designed to hang on a wall — single poems printed by hand on quality paper, usually in limited quantities, by small press printers who cared more about craft than profit. They're one of the most satisfying ways to collect Bukowski, and one of the most underappreciated.

The most valuable are the five Black Sparrow broadsides from 1966 — the first Bukowski poems Black Sparrow ever published, two years before his first book. Only 30 signed copies of each were produced.

Our collection includes 82 broadsides, some of them rare variants. If you want to go deeper, read our guide: Collecting Bukowski Broadsides.
