This broadside folio was published in 1969 and features the Charles Bukowski poem, "The Nature Of The Threat And What To Do." The broadside is printed on both sides of a single thin sheet measuring 11” x 8”.

Unlike other copies I’ve seen, this one appears to be numbered with “#97” printed in marker on the folder to the lower right-hand side of the envelope. I’ve read nothing about a numbered edition.

This copy also includes the “note from the publisher” 8.5” x 14” flyer, which is often absent from the folio.”

The 13” x 11” folio was produced as a tribute to Jon Webb, LouJon Press founder and publisher of the "Outsider" magazine. LouJon also published Bukowski’s “It Catches My Heart In Its Hands” (1963) and “Crucifix in a Deathhand” (1965).

The folio consists of a printed pocket-folder. On the left side is an envelope pasted to the inside cover that contains a poem by Steve Richmond. Next to it is a four-page chapbook by D.r. Wagner. In the right pocket are 16 broadside poems featuring Marcus J, Grapes, David W, Keith Wilson, Harold Norse, Brown Miller, Al Purdy, E.R. Baxter III, Charles Bukowski, Douglas Blazek, T.L. Kryss, Richard Morris, Charles Potts, Carl Weissner, Dan Georgakas.

Bukowski would later publish books with Al Purdy and Harold Norse, while Carl Weissner would translate Bukowski into German and make him a well-known writer there.

This copy is in Very Good ++ condition. There are creases on the left and right of the folio, and creases on three corners. There is very faint toning on the inside of the folder, and a small tear at the fold. The broadsides are all in Near Fine condition.
