Winter -- Signed with Drawing by Charles Bukowski (#186/199)
Featuring the poem Winter, this broadside was published by No Mountains Poetry Project in 1975 (No Mountain Poetry Project: Broadside Number 4).
This is copy #186/199 copies and Bukowski has added a large “little man” drawing.
It was printed by The Ravine Press in Chicago and distributed by Whole Earth Center in Evanston, Illinois. It was hand-pressed in 18 pt. Centaur and hand printed on Rives Heavyweight paper.
The silkscreen design was done by Darsie Sanders and band silkscreened by Amazingrace.
It measures approximately 20.5” x 13" and printed on white paper in brown, black, light blue, and purple.
I purchased this from an auction in Canada and asked the shipper to remove it from a frame to reduced shipping. The broadside is affixed to the frame matte. I don’t think very heavily affizexed, but I tried once and made a tiny ding (see pic) so I decided to leave it alone. Otherwise, it’s in Mint condition and I think the mat’s color (which is like new) is a great choice.
