Published in 1979, this is the first (and only) German edition of Dear Mr. Bukowski.

Only 100 of these were created. I don’t believe there was a signed edition. although this one has a brown lining inside the envelope and in the non-signed copies I’ve seen, the lining is in silver
The set is made up of a fictional envelope and letter, and 10 individual silkscreen drawings by Bukowski. The drawings are an attempt to describe the question in the letter: “What we are wondering is what is your typical day like?”
Prior to this German edition, there was an American edition published by Black Sparrow Press that was limited to 50 copies. This German edition is nearly identical, but the drawings are slightly reduced in size (4” x 5.5”). The language remains in English.
The envelope is in near fine condition, with a faint wrinkle, tiny bumps to the corners, a small pencil price mark. The interior drawings and letter (which is folded to fit the envelope) are all in mint condition.
