This is a one-page, unsigned and undated manuscript by Charles Bukowski.
The poem was included in Septuagenarian Stew, published by Black Sparrow Press in 1990.
There is one very tiny hand correction, where Bukowski changed the letter g to h.
The poem was written at a time when Bukowski was suffering from tuberculosis. With the antibiotics, he couldn’t drink. And because it was contagious, he spent most of his time in bed, separated from the outside world, including the track. This put him in a writing slump at times and when he did write, the poems were often sullen.
The manuscript will come with a letter of authenticity from The Buk Shop.
