Published in 1983 by Black Sparrow Press, Hot Water Music is a larger collection of short stories, mainly published between 1972 to 1973 when he was doing his Notes of a Dirty Old Man column for weeklies.
This is an unfolded, signed broadside/announcement for the book. It is #24 of only 50 numbered and signed copies. It includes and excerpt from the book and measures 10" x 17".
This copy has what I would describe as lots of micro-wrinkles. I’ve seen several copies of the folded, unsigned copies and most look just about perfect. But for an unfolded copy, the paper used was incredibly thin and delicate for the size of the sheet. Unless it went straight into a frame, I doubt there are any out there without some kinds of imperfections.
I’ve included two sets of photos: One under as strong a light as I could find and a second set in normal lighting. As you can see, under normal lighting conditions it looks quite presentable.
