Published in 1966, Hiram Poetry Review No. 1 featured two Bukowski poems:

Untitled would be renamed The Cat when it was collected 49myears later in On Cats (2015).

The Great One would appear in The Days Run Away Like Wild Horses Over The Hills (1969).

Still around today, The Hiram Poetry Review was founded in 1966 by Hiram College English professor Hale Chatfield. The journal played an important role in establishing Bukowski’s career, whose work appeared frequently in the journal between 1966 and 1969.

This copy is in Near Fine with a hand-written address on the back cover for mailing and a few inevitable light stains to the white covers.
