Charles Bukowski Postcard from 12 POSTKARTEN

This is a cool, somewhat uncommon Bukowski item. 

It was originally part of a portfolio called 12 POSTKARTEN, which also featured Ron Padgett, Daniil Kharms, Frank O'Hara, Michael Drobny, Knud Rasmussen, Charles Bukowski, WC Williams, Blaise Cendrars, and Aram Saroyan.

This is just the single Bukowski postcard.

The Bukowski quote appears to be from “A Rambling Essay On Poetics And The Bleeding Life Written While Drinking A Six-Pack (Tall).”

The text with the hippo reads:
Yet poetry is the big good horse in the stretch: you can't deny him; they're going to hang up his number. Get on.

On the back of the card, the text reads:
A sloppy essay about the writing of poems

This copy appears to have some browning to the right of the hippo. Still, a very attractive piece.
