The May 1972 issue of Fling (Vo. 15, No. 2) features the Charles Bukowski short story, Vern's Wife.

This short story wouldn’t be collected in book form until Absence of the Hero (2010)

Magazine is in Very Good condition. There is a tear from the bottom of the spine to the first staple on the cover, a hand-written date in marker on front cover, and some general overall wear.

Fling was another attempt to follow Hugh Hefner’s success. It was founded in 1957 by Relim Publishing Company out of Chicago. Bukowski short stories appeared in at least 10 issues of Fling between 1970-1986.
