Charles Bukowski Postcard from Poet on the Edge: Huntington Library Exhibit (2011)

From Oct. 9, 2010, through Feb. 14, 2011, The Huntington Library in San Marino, California, held a monumental exhibit on Bukowski’s work. The Huntington is home to one of Bukowski’s largest archives, so they had plenty of material to work from.

This is a postcard that was sold at the exhibit and features a photograph with one of Bukowski’s most iconic quotes.

The card measures approximately 6” x 4”. The information on the back says “Photograph” copyright Linda Lee Bukowski, but it’s unclear if she took the photograph (she is a photographer) or whether it refers to the estate itself.

It’s in mint condition.

It’s hard to believe 12 years have gone by since the exhibit, but this catalog is a great artifact from this historic event.
