6 Poets Signed By Charles Bukowski: Six Drawings of Six Poets (First Edition)
6 Poets Signed By Charles Bukowski: Six Drawings of Six Poets (First Edition)
There are later printings of this publication, but this is the first edition/first printing from 1973 and it’s getting very hard to find in this condition.
Making it much more uncommon is that Bukowski has signed it on the first blank leaf.
While there are no Charles Bukowski poems, he contributes an original full-page portrait of each of the poets included in this anthology:
The drawings convey Bukowski’s unmistakable style and make a nice addition to a Bukowski collection.
This copy is in excellent near fine condition. The "Poets" font inside the #6 on the cover usually fades dramatically with time, but the neon orange color is intact with this copy, as is the $1 price. There are a few small scratches in the black 6 of the design, but the covers are very clean for the white background. Interior pages have the normal toning from age.
Another great publication by John Bennette and his legendary Vagabond Press, this time out of Ellensburg, Washington.
