Third Lung Review 8 -- Two Uncollected, Four First Appearance Poems (1992)
Although published in the late 1980s through at least 2002, this magazine seems as rare as the journals Bukowski appeared in during the early 1960s. I couldn’t find a single issue on the market or in any university holdings.
Published by editor Tim Peeler and Third Ling Press out of Conover, NC, in 1992, Third Lung Review 8 was a Special Issue with Poems by Charles Bukowski and Harry Brody.
The Bukowski poems include:
Congrats, Chinaski
Me And Faulkner
The Great Lover
The Schoolyard Of Forever
Two Kinds Of Hell
What Makes?
Me And Faulkner and What Makes? Have yet to be published again.
Congrats, Chinaski would later appear in Storm for the Living and the Dead (2017).
The Great Lover would later appear in Betting on the Muse (1996).
The Schoolyard Of Forever would later appear in The Night Torn Mad With Footsteps (2001).
Two Kinds Of Hell would later appear in The People Look Like Flowers At Last (2007).
This copy is in Fear Fine-minus condition with light sunning to the spine, a faint crease on the top of the rear cover, and some general wear.
