There’s No Business Signed by Charles Bukowski -- Hardcover Six Edition
There’s No Business is a classic collaboration between two of the best artists of their generation.
This is a harcover copy of the six edition.
Although not called for, Bukowski has signed this copy on the black and white title page. Bukowski also added his Little Man with a Bottle character.
Unlike the signed and numbered editions where Bukowski signed pages that were later inserted into the book, Bukowski held this book in his hands.
Crumb contributes 7 illustrations to Bukowski’s classic short story.
Bukowski first met Crumb in 1972 at a party hosted by Liza Williams, who was Bukowski’s girlfriend at the time. Bukowski and Crumb appeared in several magazines and weeklies together prior to them meeting, so Bukowski was familiar with Crumb’s work.
"You know, your stuff is good, kid,” Bukowski told him at the party. “It's the real thing. Just keep away from the cocktail parties.”
