This broadside folio was published in 1969 and features the Charles Bukowski poem, "The Nature Of The Threat And What To Do." The broadside is printed on both sides of a single thin sheet measuring 11” x 8”.

The 13” x 11” folio was produced as a tribute to Jon Webb, LouJon Press founder and publisher of the "Outsider" magazine. LouJon also published Bukowski’s “It Catches My Heart In Its Hands” (1963) and “Crucifix in a Deathhand” (1965).

The folio consists of a printed pocket-folder. On the left side is an envelope pasted to the inside cover that contains a poem by Steve Richmond. Next to it is a four-page chapbook by D.r. Wagner. In the right pocket are 16 broadside poems featuring Marcus J, Grapes, David W, Keith Wilson, Harold Norse, Brown Miller, Al Purdy, E.R. Baxter III, Charles Bukowski, Douglas Blazek, T.L. Kryss, Richard Morris, Charles Potts, Carl Weissner, Dan Georgakas.

Bukowski would later publish books with Al Purdy and Harold Norse, while Carl Weissner would translate Bukowski into German and make him a well-known writer there.

This is one of the nicer copies I’ve seen and I’ll grade it Nar Fine-minus, because it does have a crease on the top left of (only) the rear cover and a touch of toning on the inside. The front is in really nice condition and the folder’s overall color is vibrant. The inside contents are all bright and white as well. Maybe not a top-tier specimen, but nothing to snub at either.
