Pastoral -- Rare Charles Bukowski Broadside (1991)

Published in 1991 by Limberlost Press, Pastoral is a rare Charles Bukowski broadside. Although the limitation was purportedly 150 copies, I’ve seen only a handful come to market over the past decade. In all likelihood, it was suppressed by Bukowski’s publisher.

This is also a large broadside, measuring 17” x 7.5” with a drawing by Bukowski at the top. 

The poem would later appear in Betting on the Muse (1996).

This copy has been folded and there are a few creases. See photographs. 

Based out of out of Boise, Idaho, Limberlost Press also published a postcard broadside titled “The Cage” in 1988 and featured two of his poems in The Limberlost Review No. 13 (1984).
