Charles Bukowski Trading Card with Additional Cult Superstars

I don’t know anything about Brown Field Press, but I’d love to have a drink with J. R. Williams, who designed the cards in this series in 1997.

The Bukowski card has some bio information on Bukowski, a mention of three Bukowski recordings, and an old link to a Bukowski site that I’ll have to checkout on the Wayback Machine one of these days.

But what makes this card even better is the collection of other cards that come with it from the series. These cult icons include Lenny Bruce, Charles Bukowski, Lord Buckley, Ken Nordine, Brother Theodore, Don Van Vliet (Captain Beefheart), Kenneth Patchen, Rudy Ray Moore, Mr. Suburbia, and Copernicus (Joe Smalkowski)

Each card measures 3.5” x 2.5” with a portrait on the front and biographical information on the back.

I have no qualifications to grade trading cards, but if they were books I’d grade them as Near Fine.
