Bookmark from Poet on the Edge: Huntington Library Exhibit (2011)

From Oct. 9, 2010 through Feb. 14, 2011, The Huntington Library in San Marino, California, held a monumental exhibit on Bukowski’s work. The Huntington is home to one of Bukowski’s largest archives, so they had plenty of material to work from.

This is a gorgeous bookmark from the exhibit that features a a circular metal quote from Bukowski. It is etched in brass, silver-plated, and printed.

The quote reads:
“My idea of life is the next sentence, the next paragraph, the next page.”

The bookmark is printed on heavy stock and measures approximately 7.5” x 2.25”.

It features a printed drawing by Bukowski on the front and biographical information on the back.

I’m not sure how many were made, but this is the only copy I have personally seen.
