The LP was sponsored by the Rotterdam Arts Foundation to coincide with the "poetry international festival" in Rotterdam, which took place June 20-24, 1972.

This copy includes the 15-page, 8.5" x 11" corner-stapled mimeographed booklet containing texts of the recorded poems.

Other artists include Ray Bremser, Diane Diprima, Ted Berrigan, Carol Berge, Ed Sanders, John Wieners, Jim Silver, John Giorno and Allen Ginsberg (Kral Majales).

Rather than a traditional sleeve, the album cover is composed of one sheet of stiff paper folded once. On this copy, the cover is torn along about seven inches of the fold. There is also some slight discoloration/aging to the covers. The final page of the mimeographed booklet has separated from the staple. I am not qualified to grade vinyl, but the vinyl appears un-played with no visible scratches.

The recording was edited by Gerard Belartand and Carl Weissner. Weissner as Bukowski’s translator and representative in Germany.  He published five issues of Klacto magazine from 1965 to 1967.  He went on to translate “Notes of A Dirty Old Man” and “Post Office” in German, but they were failures from a sales perspective. But persistent paid off when Weissner translated “Poems Written Before Jumping Out of an 8th Story Window.” The resulting sales made Bukowski famous in Germany a truly profitable writer for the first time. By 1998, 2.5 million copies of Bukowski’s books had been sold in West Germany.
