Winter -- Signed by Charles Bukowski (#99/199)
Winter -- Signed by Charles Bukowski (#99/199)
Featuring the poem Winter, this broadside was published by No Mountains Poetry Project in 1975 and was No Mountain Poetry Project: Broadside Number 4.
It was printed by The Ravine Press in Chicago and distributed by Whole Earth Center in Evanston, Illinois. It was hand-pressed in 18 pt. Centaur and hand printed on Rives Heavyweight paper.
The silkscreen design was done by Darsie Sanders and band silkscreened by Amazingrace.
It measures approximately 20.5” x 13" and printed on white paper in brown, black, light blue, and purple.
Bukowski added drawings to many of these broadsides, but not this one.
This poor baby has a few issues, mainly creases to the top and bottom edges. There is also a 1” tear on the bottom edge and tiny tears up the right side. There’s also a light crease on the left side adjacent to the last three lines.
If the buyer wanted to put this in a frame, most of these issues would not be obvious to the eye.
I believe this copy may have been removed from a frame, resulting in the damage.
There is no toning, so I’d grade this copy in Very Good ++ condition.
