This is: Signed, Unpublished Poem by Charles Bukowski

The manuscript is a file copy, but is hand-signed and dated by Charles Bukowski. 

The poem “this is” has never been published, according to Abel Debritto's landmark book, Every Piece of the Puzzle.

Once he began working with Black Sparrow Press publisher John Martin in the late 1960s, Bukowski began to keep carbons or copies of the poems he sent out to magazines for publication. Martin would collect the poems and once he had enough quality poems to fill a book, he would publish one. For whatever reason, Martin chose not to publish this poem.

This copy is in Near Fine condition with some light stains at the bottom edge and a few light wrinkles. See autograph image.
