Published by MoMo Editions in 1996, this is a rare copy of The Irish Prints. Only 26 copies were produced, all lettered. This is copy J.

Produced on the occasion of the Elms Lesters Celebrates Bukowski exhibition in 1996, the portfolio consists of 18 digitized photographs measuring 8.5” x 11”. The photos were originally included in Michael Montfort’s book, Bukowski Photographs 1977-1991. In this portfolio, they have been artistically enhanced by Grammy and Academy Award-winning producer Giorgio Moroder.

Also included in the portfolio are two facsimiles of Bukowski poetry manuscripts. One is the poem “Something about the photographer”, which also appeared in Bukowski Photographs 1977-199. The second manuscript is the Bukowski classic “the shoelace”, a poem about all the little things in life that kills a man. Written in 1971, the poem was published in four Bukowski books, two magazines and five recordings. (Please note that the signatures on the manuscripts are also facsimiles.)

The limitation sheet is signed by Montfort and Moroder and marked with the letter J. There is also a sheet signed by both Bukowski and Montfort, which appears to be an overrun of the prospectus for Bukowski Photographs 1977-1991. The prospectus is also marked J. (These signatures are in ink, not facsimiles). The prospectus has an untouched photo of Bukowski tipped in

The photographs in the portfolio are all in Fine condition. There are a few small issues with the portfolio. There is a ½” tear on the bottom flap of the portfolio. There is also a small amount of brown residue on the inside of the top and bottom flap. Finally, there is a thin line of foxing along the top edge.
