Published in the Spring of 1965, this issue of the Southern Poetry Review featured two first appearances by Bukowski:
18 Cars Full Of Men Thinking Of What Could Have Been
The Drowning
18 Cars Full Of Men Thinking Of What Could Have Been would later appear in The Days Run Away Like Wild Horses Over The Hills (1969), while The Drowning would not be published again until 2007 in The Pleasures of the Damned.
Also includes a small announcement for Crucifix in a Deathhand in the Contributors section.
This copy is in Near Fine condition with a few dark marks that are most likely the result of the black ink as part of the printing process.
Overall, a beautiful copy of this uncommon poetry journal published by the University of North Carolina.
