Signed by Author Jim Christy: The Buk Book

Published in March 1997 by ECW Press, The Buk Book is a micro-biography of sorts on Charles Bukowski.

It was written by Jim Christy and features 22 photographs by Claude Powell from inside Bukowski’s notorious De Longpre apartment.

Jim Christy has signed this copy on the title page.

When girlfriend Linda King saw some of the photos with a stripper on Bukowski’s lap, she ripped up some of the photos in front of him.

It’s a pocketsize book, measuring approximately 6.75 x 7.5" and has French Flaps.

If you love Bukowski’s writing, but don’t know much about the man, this is a great, brief introduction at 88 pages.

Sure, there are a few inaccuracies, but the writing is sharp, crisp, and on point.
