This is a rare print produced by Charles Bukowski’s German publisher MaroVerlag.
The artist behind this print is Rotraut S Berne. who did the drawings for Bukowski’s book Einmal New Orleans Und Zuruck as well as the drawings for all other MaroVerlag Bukowski books. A version of the drawing is featured on the cover of Einmal New Orleans Und Zuruck
The poster measure.s approximately 17” x 25” and is printed on glossy paper. There are some creases along the edges, but they shouldn’t be very noticeable if framed. See photos.
Berne is a well-known illustrator of children’s books, especially for her Wimmelbilderbuch series. According to Wikipedia,Berner has illustrated more than 80 books and designed over 800 book covers. For her contribution as a children's illustrator Berner was a finalist for the biennial, international Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2002, 2004, and 2014 -- finally winning it in 2016.
