I’m not typically a fan of tribute poems or chapbooks containing other artist’s works, but I’ll make an exception for this one. A.D. Winans’ "POEM FOR ALL THE KIDS WHO COULDN'T GET ENOUGH OF BUKOWSKI" is a very thoughtful piece about Bukowski’s career.
There are two copies included here and both are
A publisher’s Copy, one of only seven produced, and the regular edition, hand-numbered #59/100.
The regular edition features a Bukowski photograph by Michael Montfort as well as his signature on the back. It consists of two sheets of paper folded once to make eight pages and is stapled. Inside are portraits of Charles Bukowski and A.D. Winans by Christine Fullwood. (Not exactly great art.) There is also a second poem titled For Hank, presumably by Winans as well. As mentioned, it is signed by Montfort and Winans.
The Publisher’s copy is a single heavy sheet folded in two to make four pages. On the cover are the portraits of Charles Bukowski and A.D. Winans by Christine Fullwood and it is stamped Publisher’s Copy. The limitation on the back is 1/7. The design on the front and back differs from the regular edition. This copy is not signed by either artist and there is no Montfort photograph. See side-by-side comparisons.
Both poems are enclosed in a nicely design envelope for the Publisher’s copy.
Overall, I’d give it a C for production value in the year 2001, but it's still a nice item for Bukowski collectors.

Winans was the publisher of Second Coming Press, a San Francisco-based small press that was in existence from 1972 to 1989. Bukowski would appear in 10 editions of Second Coming between 1972 and 1986, including a Special Charles Bukowski Issue in 1974.
