This is a Hardcover copy of the first UK edition of Post Office by Charles Bukowski.
It was published by London Magazine Editions in 1974. (Post Office was first published in 1971 by Black Sparrow Press.)
At age 50, Bukowski quit the Post Office after 11 years as a postal clerk. His publisher, Black Sparrow Press, had promised him $100 a month for life if he quit the job to write full time. Bukowski did not disappoint. It took him 20 nights to complete the novel, drinking the entire time and not knowing what he had written the night before until he found the sheets lying around his apartment the next morning.
This copy has a Near Fine clipped dust jacket with a small crease on the top left of the front cover. It is now protected by a clear dust jacket. The book itself is in Fine condition.
