The Periodical of Art in Nebraska (PAN) -- Uncollected Charles Bukowski Poem (1977)

The Summer 1977 issue of The Periodical of Art in Nebraska (PAN) featured the uncollected poem:

I Need And I Demand

The Periodical of Art in Nebraska… What a sexy name for a periodical in 1977. I’m sure most of the folks at Studio 54 subscribed.

But let’s give it the benefit of the doubt: Maybe the cool kids smoking in the high school parking lot referred to it by its hipper name PAN. Who knows, some may have even tattooed PAN on their foreheads after listening to the debut albums from The Clash and the Sex Pistols debut albums that year.

In any case, if you’re willing to hop a plane and steal a copy from a local library or rent a car and drive around the plains of Nebraska, you’re not likely to find a copy of this issue of PAN anytime soon.

As far as condition (and I hate grading newsprint), this is a solid copy, but has toning, creases, small tears, a visibly large fold, and more.
