Published in 1965, Oyez Vol. 1 featured the first appearnce of the Charles Bukowski poem, The Bones Of My Uncle.
Even for Bukowski, this is a fairly grim poem. It's hard to say if it's autobiogrphical, but Bukowski did include it in his 1978 Hamburg reading.
The poem would later appear in The Days Run Away Like Wild Horses Over The Hills (1969).
This copy is in Very Good ++ condition creases on the cover impacting the interior pages and some wrinkles to the pages themselves.
A rare copy of this journal edited by Heather Nissenson-Greendale out of Chicago.
