This is an original photograph by Richard Robinson that was used in the author biography for the Black Sparrow book, Burning in Water Drowning in Flame.
The photograph measures 8” x 10” and is signed by Charles Bukowski with Robinson’s credit stamp on the back.
Robinson did several photo shoots with Charles Bukowski in the early 1970s. From what I’ve seen, it doesn’t appear that Robinson made duplicates of the photos. Each photo is slightly different from others in the series. Interestingly, I’ve never seen a Robinson photo that wasn’t signed by Bukowski. Sadly, very little is known about Robinson.
The photo is in Near Fine + condition with a slight curl.

Mike is passionate and fascinating. I bought him the 1968 vinyl "Poetry" with Steve Richmond, one of the rarest items related to Buk. I'm so happy.
Bukowski wall to wall. If you are a fan, and if you weren't why would you be here this is the best and only place for The Poet Laureate of Skid row.
