Manuscript for You Get So Alone At Times It Just Makes Sense with Deluxe Signed Book and Print
This is a signed copy of Charles Bukowski’s original manuscript for the poem, You Get So Alone At Times It Just Makes Sense.
The manuscript comes with the Deluxe Signed Limited Edition of the book by the same name, which features a print that is hand-signed Bukowski and dated 7/86. Only 100 copies of this edition were produced.
This is a great poem covering Bukowski’s writing career, from true starving artist, to a heavy weight jumping back into the ring for another go at the title.
This manuscript looks like it just came off the copier. It has one very light fold and the rest of the page is bright and clean. There are several hand corrections and Bukowski has signed it in a nice ink pen and dated it 1-9-86.
The Book itself is in great shape. The stitched binding feels a little stretched, but is in otherwise Fine condition. The colophon is signed and hand-numbered 6/100. The mylar jack is aged and has a crease on the inside flap front cover but it has accomplished what is was made to do: Preserve the beauty of the book.
