Life and Death in the Charity Ward was published by London Magazine Editions (London) in 1974.
These stories were first published as "Erections, Ejaculations, Exhibitions and General Tales of Ordinary Madness," in the United States by City Lights Books in 1972.
In addition to the title chnage, Life and Death in the Charity Ward was published as a hardback, unlike the City Lights book. There is a color book jacket and book itself features the same color cover.
Bukowski did not sell as well in the U.K. as in other European countries and this particular book is harder to find than the City Lights edition, especially in this condition.
The book jacket has not been clipped. There are some small creases along the very edges, but is in overall Near Fine condition with a little aging here and there. The book itself is in fine condition.
