This issue featured Charles Bukowski on the cover and a two-page spread with an additional photo, poems and poem excerpts, and a feature on the poet and his work.
The poems include:
- Zoo
- Trouble with Spain (excerpt)
- Shot of Red-Eye (excerpt)
- Some Picnic
- Who In The Hell Is Tom Jones?
- Palms (excerpt)
All the poems appeared in Burning in Water Drowning in Flame and Love is a Dog From Hell.
The issue is notable for the front page photo of Bukowski hugging a typewriter. It was taken by Jules Bates and copies were sold by Red Stodolsky, owner of Baroque Book Store, for many years.
This copy is in Very Good condition with a split in the center of the main fold impacting the front page, but remains fairly solid. Usual browning.
