It’s All Out the Window – Signed, Unpublished Manuscript by Charles Bukowski

I’m surprised this one was never published because it’s a pretty good poem. My favorite line is:

going mad is too easy
suicide is too
ordinary

Bukowski signed this one differently for some reason: C. Bukowski. He also didn’t include the exact date: May 1985. He did that occasionally, especially in his early letters. He had gotten married to Linda Lee just a few weeks earlier.

The manuscript was folded once, so it was mailed, perhaps only to John Martin.

It comes with a letter of authenticity from Scott Harrison of Abandoned Planet Bookstore. Harrison was a friend of Martin’s and has a strong reputation among Bukowski collectors for selling authentic manuscripts. It also comes with a letter of authenticity from The Buk Shop.
