Published in 1973, The Human Struggle/Two Charlies featured five Bukowski poems, including the classic line from Barfly, “Some People Never Go Crazy, what truly horrible lives they must live”:

Nerves appeared in Burning in Water Drowning in Flame (1974)

The Nude Dancer appeared in Come On In! (2006)

In Bed Until Noon With The Poets has yet to be published again.

Some People Never Go Crazy would appear in Essential Bukowski: Poetry (2016) and On Drinking (2019)

Smiling, Shining, Singing appeared in What Matters Most Is How Well You Walk Through The Fire (1999) and On Love (2016).
