Published in 1989 by Black Sparrow Press, this is an uncorrected manuscript of Charles Bukowski’s novel, Hollywood.
The novel describes the great lengths taken to get the movie Barfly made greenlit and filmed.
Black Sparrow Press founder John Martin numbered and initialed this copy. It is #6 out of 10 copies.
It has a comb binding with a clear plastic sheet over the title page and a vinyl rear cover. I’m not an expert on rating uncorrected manuscripts, so let’s call it Near Fine with some edgewear to the pages.

Beautiful copy, very satisfied
I ordered this for my mum, who loves Buk so much that he was a household name in our house growing up. She has all of his works (apart from post office which she lent out and was never returned). I wanted to treat her to something special and this shop is the very place to get the perfect gift for her. It was shipped the same day and arrived to the UK and was delivered in less than a week. I’m extremely impressed and my mum is thrilled to have something which he has held and signed. sending so much love to The Buk Shop team.
