BUKOWSKI PHOTOGRAPHS 1977-1991 – Signed by Charles Bukowski (#2/74)

Published in 1993 by BUKSKIN PRESS, this one is often referred to as “The Big White Book” by Bukowski collectors. Measuring an impressive 16” x 14” it seems more like a portfolio. The book features 21 8” x 11” color and black and white photographs by Michael Montfort.

The photographs are tipped in, not bound into the book, so the owner could frame the photographs and return them to the book later. Considering the cost of an individual Montfort print may be between $250-$300, this book of photographs could be considered a tremendous value.

Bukowski has signed his name on the colophon and also added drawings of the sun, a dog, and his classic little man with a jug. Montfort has also signed the page.

This copy also comes with the prospectus, which features a smaller version of the photograph pasted on the front of the book. This photograph is also lightly affixed and is removable.

The book has some mild edgewear to boards but is else fine. The prospectus is in Near Fine condition with tiny bumps to all four corners.

A very nice copy of this book, considering the white covers and its overall size.
