Kevin Ring’s Beat Scene magazine is a treasure for Bukowski and Beat fans alike. I’m in the “never the twain shall meet” camp, but in this case the exception is deserved. Plus, Kevin’s a good guy who put a lot of work and high production value into each issue of the magazine.
Full contents below, but for Bukowski fans there are five good pieces around LouJon Press:
· JON EDGAR WEBB...BEYOND BUKOWSKI
· A BRIEF HISTORY OF JON AND GYPSY LOU WEBB by Jeff Weddle
· AN INTERVIEW WITH JON EDGAR WEBB JR by Jeff Weddle
· ALL PRICKLES AND NO PETALS...a lost story by Jon Edgar Webb
· THE OUTSIDERS...THE LOUJON PRESS by Jim Burns
This copy is in Very Good ++ condition with bumps to the corners and some rubbing on the covers. Issues of Beat Scene are getting harder and harder to find these days.
