Kevin Ring’s Beat Scene magazine is a treasure for Bukowski and Beat fans alike. I’m in the “never the twain shall meet” camp, but in this case the exception is deserved. Plus, Kevin’s a good guy who put a lot of work and high production value into each issue of the magazine.
Full contents below, but for Bukowski fans there are three interesting features:
· Notes and Photographs of a Dirty Old Man...twenty year old photographs of Charles Bukowski uncovered...we talk with photographer Joan Gannij
· Locked In The Arms of a Crazy Life...an extract from the new biography of Charles Bukowski
· Charles Bukowski....an interview with biographer Howard Sounes
This copy is in Very Good ++ condition with bumps to the corners and some rubbing on the covers. Issues of Beat Scene are getting harder and harder to find these days.
