Here’s another beautifully produced broadside by the legendary Bill Roberts and his Bottle of Smoke Press. Bottle of Smoke Press has produced eight Bukowski broadsides since 2003, as well as countless other artists.
Produced in 2006 out of Dover, Delaware, it features the poem advice for some young man in the year 2064 A.D.
Measuring 8.5” x 5.5”. this is a Variant copy printed on smooth, heavy-stock cardboard. The information below is hand-written on a Post-it note on the back and signed “Bill”.
“I PRINTED MAYBE 5 COPIES OF THIS ON CARD BOARD. VERY RARE. Bill”
The poem first appeared in the magazine EPOS (Vol. 16, No. 2) in 1964. It would later appear in The Pleasures of the Damned (2007).
