Published on Christmas 1997, A Working Stiff is a rare chapbook published by the former publisher of Experiment in Words, Robert Howington.

A Working Stiff contains four poems, all of which first appeared in Experiment in Words, according to Howington.

“These Buk (rhymes with ‘puke’) poems were first published – they saw their first light – in my now defunct litmag Experiment In Word, which ran from 1990-1992… So I feel as though I’ve got the right to “re-publish” them.”

There is a colophon on the first interior page form100 copies, but this one is not numbered.
This copy is in Very Good ++ condition. The front page has a light vertical crease up the middle and there are a couple of small stains.

All in all, a solid copy of this rare little chapbook out of Fort Worth, Texas.
